“ Nice little Greek restaurant. Good Greek food. Gyros, etc. He's modified some things to appeal to American tastes, that is those unfamiliar to Greek food. It's still Greek. And, very good. I bought the gyro sub because I needed a meal that isn't as messy as a true group. It's still very good - I miss the pita bread, tho. ”
“ This has been my go to place before and after concerts at the Newport for 30 years. The inside is like stepping back in time to before the "Classic" high street was demolished for new construction. Love this place and tell everyone it's the worlds greatest gyro. Prices are still the lowest around for the amount you get. Food is always hot and delicious. Staff have always been friendly and attentive. I've had several conversations with the owner about the history of the place. Places like this are getting harder and harder to find. ”
“ Athena's is a straightforward gyro shop, gyros are on point. Wife and I have visited here 3 times (me, 4). When they are not busy your ordered is presented to you fairly quick. Place a mobile order if you just wanna walk in and grab it. Chicken is just the right size for a regular gyro. Fries are seasoned, perfectly, in my opinion. Seating is adequate as long as it's not bustling on the inside. Good place to eat, I see more gyros in my future ”

I could not find ANY gyro on the west coast to compare with the taste & quality of Apollo's! They are simply THE BEST! Now, in my retirement, I can visit Apollo's and enjoy the wonderful memories of taking my boys for gyros when they were growing up! They told me when they think of Apollo's gyros, they too wish they could move back to Ohio! ”

Only 5$ now. Great guys working, laughing, and prepping good food. The only thing missing was the gyro cone rotisserie. Meat came from a hot tray, but was still delicious. ”
